So here’s some places u gotta visit in Udaipur, some famous some not so famous but all worth a look.
1. Lake Pichola
This is like the main thing ppl come to see. Lake Pichola is artificial but looks super natural, u can take boat rides and see city from water. The famous Lake Palace is in middle of lake looks like it’s floating. You cant go inside unless u stay there and thats crazy expensive lol but just seeing it from boat or shore is wow.
Sunsets r amazing here, sky turns orange and red and reflection on water is perfect for pics.
2. City Palace
Near Lake Pichola is City Palace. It’s huge and built over years by different kings. The architecture is mix of Rajasthani and Mughal style. There are gardens, courtyards, museums and u get a nice view of lake from up there.
But its really big so wear comfy shoes coz u gotta walk alot i got tired fast lol.
3. Jag Mandir
This is another palace on an island in Lake Pichola but smaller than Lake Palace. You reach by boat. It’s less crowded and peaceful. The marble work inside is nice and the garden cute. Good place if u wanna escape crowd.
4. Sajjangarh Palace (Monsoon Palace)
On top of hill, gives great views of city and hills. Kings used to watch monsoon clouds from here thats why called Monsoon Palace. Palace inside not that fancy but sunset view is worth it.
5. Saheliyon Ki Bari
A garden built for royal ladies with fountains, lotus pools and marble statues. Very peaceful place perfect for morning walk if u like greenery.
6. Jagdish Temple
Near City Palace is Jagdish Temple, old Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Beautiful carvings and architecture. Even if not into temples worth a quick visit.
Just be respectful coz it’s active worship place.

Old mansion near Lake Pichola turned museum. Shows royal life with clothes, weapons and furniture from old times.
At night folk dance show called Dharohar, fun to watch. Shows local culture n music.
8. Fateh Sagar Lake
Another lake, bigger and less crowded. Rent pedal boats or walk around. Small island with garden in middle.
